Reta Smith

Counseling and Coaching

Reta spent most of her adult life in Houston, Texas and obtained her drug and alcohol training at the University of Houston.  During that same time she also studied at the Johnson Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota to become an Intervention Specialist.  She owned and operated the Clearview Counseling Center in Houston for three years, and since moving to California in 1999, received training in domestic violence at the Long Beach Women’s Shelter and in anger management at Anderson & Anderson in Los Angeles.

After becoming certified Life and Spiritual Coach, she served as Program Director for Little House, an alcohol and drug treatment center for women in Bellflower, CA. She has been sober since 1978, and is currently working on her book, Beyond Addiction.  Having lived in Norway, Brazil, Scotland and Venezuela, Reta has a strong sense of acceptance of all people, no matter their culture or background.

What Reta brings to her clients is an understanding that you are more than your addiction, more than your negative childhood experiences and more than your current circumstances.  Reta is the “What do I do next?” of your journey toward a remarkable life.
