Reta
spent
most of
her
adult
life in
Houston,
Texas
and
obtained
her drug
and
alcohol
training
at the
University
of
Houston.
During
that
same
time she
also
studied
at the
Johnson
Institute
in
Minneapolis,
Minnesota
to
become
an
Intervention
Specialist.
She
owned
and
operated
the
Clearview
Counseling
Center
in
Houston
for
three
years,
and
since
moving
to
California
in 1999,
received
training
in
domestic
violence
at the
Long
Beach
Women’s
Shelter
and in
anger
management
at
Anderson
&
Anderson
in Los
Angeles.
After
becoming
certified
Life and
Spiritual
Coach,
she
served
as
Program
Director
for
Little
House,
an
alcohol
and drug
treatment
center
for
women in
Bellflower,
CA. She
has been
sober
since
1978,
and is
currently
working
on her
book,
Beyond
Addiction.
Having
lived in
Norway,
Brazil,
Scotland
and
Venezuela,
Reta has
a strong
sense of
acceptance
of all
people,
no
matter
their
culture
or
background.
What
Reta
brings
